The Eastern US Championship was held on September 2nd – 6th in Murfreesboro, Tennessee. This event drew over 230 contestants with 31 shooters from the “Mid West Region” and 14 of those shooters being 1st Ohio members. Midwest Regional cowboys placed well in the main match.

• Rick Deckena and Tony Ruper were among the top ten shooters
• Joyce McKinney won 1st place in the SL-5 class
• Rick Deckena won 1st place in the SM-6 Class
• Bob Ruwe won 2nd place
• David Ferguson won 3rd place
• Tony Ruper won the M-4 class
• Dawn Smitley came in 2nd place
• 1st Ohio Joyce Nelson came in 3rd place in the L-5 class
• Joylin Case from Michigan came in 2nd in the L-4 class
• Greg Couch won 1st place in the SM-1 class
• Jim Hall came in 2nd place in the SM-3 class
• Steven Wilson won 4th place in the Rifle competition
• Rick Deckena placed 6th in the Cavalry competition
