The Ohio State CMSA Championship was co-hosted by the 1st Ohio CMSA and the Northern Ohio Outlaws on August 21st ~ 22nd & 23rd at the Circle G Arena in Lewisburg, Ohio.

The three-day brought in cowboys from Indiana, Illinois and Tennessee. There were 7 different CMSA clubs at the event. Winners of the Buckeye Eliminator on Friday evening were Ladies Limited Cindy Garwood, Ladies Express Samantha Wilson, Limited Jim Foster, Express Jeff Haynes, Master Don Boyd and Ladies Master Joyce Nelson. The 1st Place winner and overall cowboy of the Ohio State Championship was Don Boyd, a S-6 level shooter from Illinois. Don shot clean all weekend with a time of 114.019. 2nd place winner & overall cowgirl was Joyce Nelson with a time of 118.246. 3rd place winner & Reserve Cowboy was Tony Ruper with a time of 122.141. Reserve cowgirl was Samantha Wilson with a time of 130.871. Brittany Norris won the open Wrangler division winning a trophy and her very first buckle. Wranglers limited division, Marrisa Osborne, October Kramer, Wyatt Statz & Wyatt McElhaney, all received a trophy. The Ohio Resident “High Point Cowboy & Cowgirl” 2009 winners are Joyce Nelson and Tony Ruper; both received a pair of leather chinks made by Pronghorn Custom Leather. Clean shooters were Don Boyd, Connie App & Cindy Garwood.
